Leonard O. Laws, 60, of Newton, died Oct. 9, 1982, in St. Margaret's Hospital, Hammond, Ind. Funeral services at Pulliam Funeral Home, Newton, with burial in Mound Cemetery, west of Oblong.
Mr. Laws was born in Willow Hill, son of Walter T. and Ida Mae (Jones) Laws. He was a cabinet maker, member of Newton American Legion and Newton Veterans of Foreign Wars and a World War II veteran.
Surviving are his sons, Dr. Gregg of Cicero; Glenn of Sauk Village; Brett of Joliet; mother, of Newton; brothers, George of Robinson; Joe M. of Mission, Kan.; Capt. Walter T. of Alexandria, Va.; three grandchildren.
