MRS. ACORD IS DEATH VICTIM

Aged Woman Dies At The Home Of A Daughter At Madams Creek

HINTON. May 8 -- Mrs. L. D. Acord, aged 80 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. E. Beasley, at Madams Creek at 10:30 o’clock this morning of heart disease, following an illness of five months.

She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Meadows and had resided all of her life in Raleigh until about four years ago.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon at the family cemetery on Freezeland Mountain.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. C. E. Beasley, of Madams Creek; Mrs. Dora Peterman of Cincinnati. O.; Mrs. Alma Adkins, of Eccles; and Miss Laura Bragg, of Charleston; and three sons, Grayson Bragg and W. M. Bragg, of Brooks, and Mason Bragg, of Beckley.

Confirmation of burial in this cemetery was made by Sarah Josephine Chandler, sister of Sadie V. Plumley Bragg the wife of William McKinley Bragg, a son of Mrs. Acord.
