He had been a maintenance superintendent for the John Sexton & Company in Indianapolis, IN for 36 years. He was a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Bargersville. He loved golf, bowling and fishing. He was a hardworking man with a great work ethic who provided for his family.
Survivors include his children Richard Abella of Roy, Washington, Raul Abella (Dianna) of Port Richey, FL, Mike Ridge (Terry) of Greenwood, IN, Mark Ridge of Indianapolis, IN, Danny Abella of Franklin, IN, Kathy Marshall (Larry) of Franklin, IN, Frances Denney (Mike) of Franklin, IN and Dee Dee Moreland (Dean) of Franklin, IN, sister Nellie Abella of Marthasville, MO, brothers Lee Abella of Barstow, CA, Johnny Crazyriver of Florida, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Vania Abella Shields on September 25, 2008, a brother Martin Abella, and sisters Ofie Kuss, Mary Montez, and Micky Fierro.
Pastor Rich Jenkins will conduct a service on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 1PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN where friends may call from 11AM till service time at the mortuary. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.
