Charles “Chuck” Junior Tenney, age 43, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, August 9, 2011.

He was born September 14, 1967 in Orville, OH a son of Charles Tenney of Excelsior, WV and the late Carol Joy Varnes Tenney.

On September 10, 1988 he married Cathy Hickman who survives. He is also survived by two daughters, Ashley and Carol Tenney both of Buckhannon; one grandson, Tristen Wamsley of Buckhannon; one brother Raymond Tenney of Buckhannon; step mother Mary Tenney of Excelsior and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Wilbert and Nora Tenney.

Mr. Tenney was a roughneck for UDI rig 124 and a Christian by faith. Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and being with his family.

Friends will be received 6-9 PM Thursday, August 11, 2011 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Wease Day officiating. Burial will follow at the Sand Run Baptist Church Cemetery in Excelsior.
