A true steel magnolia, Helen was born December 20, 1924 in La Follette, TN. Helen was the second youngest of 11 children. In 1945, she married her childhood sweetheart Rudy Cox. After being stationed throughout the country they settled in Clinton Township, MI in 1965, where their 3 girls grew up. Helen was employed by the Clinton Township Water Department where she retired after 20 years. After the sudden death of Rudy, she married John Lang and was happily married for 38 years until his death. Helen enjoyed playing the organ and piano as well as socializing.
