TANNER BRADEN KARR

Tanner was welcomed into the gates of Heaven at 8:53 PM (Nashville time) on Tuesday, February 4, 2020. We are heartbroken beyond imagination but we rejoice knowing he is with family in the presence of our Heavenly Father.

To know Tanner was to love him. He was a gentle giant with a warm, loving heart. He was "that kind of person" everyone wanted as a friend, a brother, a son, and grandson. He loved football and attended Georgia Tech, earning his degree in business. He participated as equipment manager earning scholarship money to achieve his dreams. He later became a software engineer moving to Franklin, TN from his childhood home in Dalton, GA. His future was bright, but tragically cut short on February 2, 2020 in a single car accident. It's been hard saying goodbye, but Heaven has gained a beautiful soul.

Tanner was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Cain and Dot Vinsant and niece and nephew, Camden Haley Blackwell and Lyle Cain Blackwell.

He is survived by his parents, Joedy and Angie Karr; sister and brother-in-law, Keri and Matthew Blackwell; nephew, McCoy Karr Blackwell; paternal grandparents, Vernon and Robbie Walters. Aunts, uncles and cousins also survive him along with many friends that Tanner was blessed to have.

The family would like to thank Vanderbilt Adult Trauma Unit and Tennessee Donor Services.

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Saturday at Rockbridge Community Church with Pastor Matt Evans officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 12 until 2:30 at the church. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in memory of Tanner and his extraordinary gift of organ donation, to Tennessee Donor Services.
