Born William Thomas Burns in Sept 1862 in Maries County, Missouri via information taken from the 1900 census; he went by his middle name Tom or Thomas. Mr. Burns married Nancy Jane Caldwell at Vienna, Maries, Missouri on 14 September 1884. He died on 1 May 1915 as reported by The Adair Citizen published 6 May 1915, passing due to a heart condition. The Oklahoma State Dept. of Health could not find a record of his death and The Adair Citizen did not report the location of his burial.
Thomas was the son of Ransom Burns (1844-1863) and Martha Jane Denton (1842-abt 1902), Ransom died during the Civil War. Thomas has a half-sister born Isabelle Sommers (1870-1930) Find A Grave memorial 102736545.
Thomas moved his family to Oklahoma from Missouri about 1911/1912.
