Carol T. Bond

Chowan County native

On Jan. 8, 2013 at 4:30 p.m., the sweet and beautiful spirit of our loved one went
home to rest peacefully with her Heavenly Father, in the comfort of her earthly home.
Carol Taylor Bond, the sixth of nine children, was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Joe Henry Taylor.

She was born on March 3, 1951 in Chowan County. At a very early age she gave her
life to Christ and joined White Oak Missionary Baptist Church, Tyner. Three years ago
she became a member of New Welch's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, that she served faithfully until she could not. Carol attended White Oak Elementary School and Chowan
High School. After high school she worked at George C. Moore and Company, Edenton,
for over twenty years. She wanted to improve her life and she decided to further her
education and graduated from Martin Community College, Williamston. She received her Cosmetologist Degree and obtained her licensure in 1992. She was the owner/operator
of Hair Paradise Beauty Salon in Edenton, for nineteen years until her health began to
decline.

In 1971 she was married and now she leaves to cherish her memories; her devoted
husband, Leroy Bond; a very special niece, Heather Taylor, just like her daughter;
three brothers, Joseph Taylor, Tyner, Richard Taylor (Eva) and John Taylor (Christine)
both of Edenton; three sisters, Mary Taylor White (James) Edenton, Lena Mae Taylor of Middletown, Conn., Susan Taylor Brothers of Edenton; four brothers-in-law; six
sisters-in-law; a host of aunts. uncles, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends; a special
mother-like friend, Ms. Rosa Privott of Raleigh.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, James E. Taylor and William L. Taylor. Carol
was a strong and independent person and she loved the Lord. She was always eager to
hear the word of God when she came to church. Carol loved young people and always encouraged them to trust God and go forward to be all they could be. As we remember
Carol sitting on the third pew, she enjoyed witnessing to the word of God by waving her
hand.

Funeral services were held at New Welch's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Tyner,
