Nicholas Daniel Barkhaus, 31, of Greenwood, IN passed away Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis, IN. He was born February 17, 1988 in Evansville, IN.
Nicholas attended Center Grove High School. He enjoyed playing and writing music, the outdoors, hiking, attending music festivals, working with his hands and spending time with his friends and spending time with family.
Survivors include his mother Shelly Yuvonne (Buenaventa) Schmidt and step father Mark Schmidt of Greenwood, IN, his father Anthony Lee Barkhaus III of Foley, AL; two brothers Anthony Lee Barkhaus IV (Hope Welty) of Indianapolis, IN, and Noah Smith of Norfolk, VA; paternal grandparents Anthony Lee Barkhaus Jr. and Rita (Purvis) Barkhaus of Owensboro, KY; maternal grandparents Epifanio N. and Sharon (Loveless) Buenaventa of Indianapolis, IN; step-sister Crystal Rogers (Eric) of Mooresville, IN and many extended family and friends.
