Mrs. Barbee was born in Union County, May 11, 1931, to the late Charles Love and Grace Deese Tyson. She was married to the late James Morton Barbee, and a member of Lankford Memorial Baptist Church. She was always happy and loved helping other people, animals, working in her yard, and shoes. She will be greatly missed. Mrs. Barbee is survived by her daughter, Vickie Maness, of Greensboro; mother, Grace Tyson, of Concord; sisters, Louise Lowder, of Oakboro, Juanita Almond, Betty Maxwell and husband Bill, all of Concord; step-sister, Dixie Huneycutt, of Oakboro; granddaughters, Ashley Manley and husband Shane, of Reidsville, Tammy Walker and husband Trip, of Julian; great-grandchildren, Levi, Chase, and Carter.
