Thanksgiving morning this community was greatly shocked to hear of the sudden death of Mrs. Ellen Hall, widow of the late Albert P. Hall, after being ill with brocchial pneumonia since Monday. Mrs. Hall was born at Montezuma seventy-eight years ago. Her young life was spent at Port Byron, Seneca Falls and Tyre and her married life in Marengo. She was a member of the Clyde Presbyterian Church, but on account of delicate health had not attended there for some years. She was one of the first Union Workers and a loyal member of the Junius W.C.T.U. Her disposition was one of the most cheerful and hopeful, ever looking on the bright side and seeing only the good in everyone. The was a true mother who will be sadly missed by the surviving family- three daughters, Misses Flora, Emma and Elberta Hall and one son, Wilfred Hall. The funeral was held Sunday, Dec 3rd from the late home. Rev. C. M. Boughton of the Tyre Reformed Church officiating. Interment was made in the Southwick Cemetery.
