She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and a lifelong resident of Kanawha Two Mile.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Tackett; parents, Russ and Betty Eary; sisters, Mildred Coffman and Marguarite Walker; and brothers, Arthur Eary, Chester Eary, and Jimmy Eary.
Surviving Mrs. Tackett are sons, Edward Tackett of Charleston, Charles Leroy Tackett of Vienna, Virginia, Gene Tackett of Charleston and Jerry Tackett of Scott Depot; daughter, Delores Fisher of Sissonville; sister, Velma Lee Walker of Charleston; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 28, at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Aaron Bounds officiating. Burial will follow in Guthrie Cemetery, Charleston.
Visitation with the family will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
