Obituary for Laura Louise Brookshire
Laura Louise Brookshire of Salem, Missouri, passed away at the Salem Care Center on February 8, 2020, at the age of 95. Louise was born the late Grover Cleveland Cooley and Anna Laura Heavin on May 6, 1924, in Salem.
Louise was married to the late Sanford Arthur Brookshire for 27 years. Employed as a surgical technician, Louise’s favorite pastimes included embordering, gardening, and catching caterpillars, watching them eventually turn in butterflies. She was a member of Round Pond Church for many years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, and is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held for friends and family on Saturday, February 15, 2019 from 11AM-1PM with funeral services to immediately follow with Ron Brookshire officiating. Interment will be in the Round Spring Cemetery in Salem, MO. In lieu of flower the family requests memorials go to Round Pond Cemetery fund.
