Edward Joseph Fonseca (Toe-Joe), 86, a native of Gheens LA and a resident of Des Allemands, LA passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019.

Edward was a retired business owner whose life was devoted to providing for his family through his hard work as a commercial fisherman. He was also well known as an entertainer; he prided himself in being a jokester and showed off his talents by playing his guitar and singing. One of his favorite pastimes also included dancing and he was known to excite the crowd with his dance moves.

He had the biggest heart and was the proud and loving father of four children.
Son, Randy Fonseca (Debbie);
Daughters, Shelia F. Southard (Steve), Tammy F. Becnel (Jason), and Angel F. Reyna;
Brother to Josie Alexander, Agnes Murray, Leon, and Joseph (T Joe) Fonseca;
Brother-in-law to Michael Aucoin and Betty Cortez; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rosemary Aucoin Fonseca;
Mother and Father, Joseph and Domatile Dominic Fonseca; Siblings, Raymond, Walter, Warren & Flavia Fonseca, Mimi F. Rogers, Myrtle F. Rome, Bernice F. Cortez, and Margaret F. Catoire;
Mother and Father-in-law, Murphy and Irene Aucoin; sisters-in-law, Lucy Ramsey and DorisTait,
and brother-in-law, Jimmy Aucoin; great-granddaughter, Parker Luquet.

He was a parishioner of St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Des Allemands.

Visitation will be 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, January 12th at St. Gertrude Catholic Church with a mass of Christian burial to follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery.
