Obit: Post Standard Newspaper - December 22, 1951 - Fred Abbott, 83, superintendent of Fabius Evergreen Cemetery for 25 years, died at his Fabius home yesterday after a brief illness. He was born in Homer, the son of George and Sophronia Hayes Abbott. He lived in Fabius more than 50 years and was a 25-year member of the grange. He was a retired farmer. Surviving are two sons, Clifford F. and Ralph H. Abbott; five daughters, Mrs. George Underwood, Mrs. Duane Skeele, Mrs. B.A. Garrett of Apulia Station, Mrs. Duncan Park of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Mrs. Herbert Lornez of Syracuse; five sisters, Mrs. Jennie Hawyer, Mrs. Sara Seacord and Miss Amelia Abbott of Homer, Mrs. Carrie Abbott, Fannie Bush of Solon, a brother, Harry Abbott of Locke, 22 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the family home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience.
