Dawn Monique Anderson, affectionately known as “Dawny Poo” was born to the late Carolyn J. Lewis-Anderson and the late George W. Anderson Jr. on March 18, 1964, in Chester, PA. She quietly left this earth on February 7, 2020, surrounded by family in Ridley Park, PA. Dawn was born and raised in Chester, PA and later resided in Aston, PA. She attended Chester-Upland School District. Following high school she attended Philadelphia OIC trade school. Dawn was a homemaker to her children. Not only did she care for her own children, she also took the time out to cater to other children with whom she connected to. She enjoyed celebrating birthdays and holidays with her family, shopping, traveling and let’s not leave out clipping coupons.
Dawn was preceded in death by her parents Carolyn and George, Her grandparents Mary A. Anderson-Jay, George W. Anderson Jr. and Margaret Williams-Fisher. She leaves behind her beloved children, Nicole, Dale and Kijana all of Aston, PA; and a bonus son, whom she raised, Juwaan of Chester, PA. Brothers, Michael of Altoona, PA, George (Keisha) of Darby, PA and Kareem (Jere) of DE. Sisters Crystal of Chester, PA, Lynette of Raleigh, NC and Kenya of Chester, PA. A grand dog, Rex, Mildred Robinson (great aunt) of Chester, PA, Aunt Arlene Wilson of Chester, PA, Aunt Mary Anderson-Clyde of Atlanta, GA, Ain’t Debbie Ricketts of Chester, PA, and Aunt Terry Anderson of Chester, PA, Uncles Lawrence Robinson of Chester, PA (great uncle)and Uncle Robert Anderson of Chester, PA, as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews,, cousins and friends.
Dawn lived her life to the fullest with no regrets. Her angelic beauty matched her graceful love of family and her friends. We will remember her for the phenomenal woman that she was!
