Alma B. KEWLEY, 87, of Pontiac, died at 5:35 p.m. Monday [15 October 2001] at her home on south Mill Street. Her funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Harris-Martin-Burke Funeral Home, Pontiac, with the reverend John Kenerley officiating. Burial will be at the Southside City Cemetery, Pontiac. Visitation will be for an hour before the service Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church, Pontiac, or to a charity of the donor's choice. She was born in Pontiac, a daughter of George and Cora [MANLEY] ROBINSON. She married Arnold E. KEWLEY in Valparaiso, Indiana on the 09th of January 1938. He died the 19th of August 1988.
Survivors include a brother, Martin D. ROBINSON, Morton, Illinois; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The grandchildren are Todd and Maria C. KEWLEY. Her parents; one son, Richard A. KEWLEY; and one brother preceded her in death in infancy. She was a graduate of Pontiac Township High School. She had been a retail sales clerk. She was a member of First Christian Church [Disciples of Christ], Pontiac. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary and the Ladies of the Moose.
