Elizabeth A. Clough, also known as Lizza and Betty, was a daughter of Charles Augustus and Isabella Smith Clough. She was probably born in Ladore Twp, Neosho Co, KS. Her father died before she was born and her mother died when she was two. In 1900 she was living with her aunt and uncle, Christian and Elizabeth Smith Buddenhagen. Betty had an older brother William and an older sister Bertha. A brother Oliver died young. She married John Wesley Neely 3 Sep 1902 in Neosho County, KS and had children Roy Curtis, Earl Newton, Frieda Elizabeth (md Maxon Cloukey) and Idabelle. She died in Parsons at age 82.
