COMANCHE ? June Ann Seida, of Comanche, peacefully passed away early Saturday morning, Oct. 12, 2013, at Duncan Regional Hospital. She was 81 years old.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, at Patterson Avenue Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, under direction of Comanche Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday. Family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday.
June was born April 15, 1932, in Duncan, to Durwood and Evelyn Culberson Brumley. Her first husband, J.M. McGowen preceded her in death in 1963. On May 8, 1964, June and Bill Seida were united in marriage in Wichita Falls, Texas. They had lived in the Meridian and Comanche area all of their lives. He preceded her in death in 2008.
She was a cook at Meridian School for many years. She also owned and operated Meridian Kwik Mart for numerous years. She enjoyed reading, fishing, playing bingo, yard work, playing cards, visiting with her friends and traveling. Her most precious memories were those of her children, and watching the grandchildren in their sporting events. She was a member of Patterson Avenue Baptist Church.
She is survived by three children: Gary McGowen and wife Jeanne, Comanche, Benny McGowen and wife Judy, Comanche, and Sandy Laminack and husband Keith, Newcastle; a brother, Gaylon Brumley and wife Sheila, Duncan; and a former daughter-in-law, B.J. Ames, Comanche; six grandchildren: Jennifer McGowen Regalado and husband Victor, Tulsa, Brandi Laminack Henderson and husband Robert, Kingston, Jamie McGowen Minter and husband Damon, Edmond, Brooke Laminack Miller and husband Justin, Comanche, Josh McGowen and wife Courtney, Comanche, and Jil McGowen Roebuck and husband Jessie, Comanche; 11 great-grandchildren: Victoria, Brady, Julia, Isabella, Britni, Gage, Jacee, Gracee, Sophia, Jaylee and Hunter; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and dear friends.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Weast, Matt Taylor, Clayton Presgrove, Brandon Lewis, Mike Harper and Dixon Harper. Honorary bearers are Craig Eliis, Mark Taylor, Kenny Miller and Frank Presgrove.
