George Papadopoulos, 77, husband of Dimitra Zografidis Papadopoulos, passed away Monday March 19, 2018 at his home in Norwalk. Born in Greece, June 10, 1940, he was the son of the late Niko and Athena Christostomidou Papadopoulos.
Mr. Papadopoulos immigrated from Greece and worked over 30 years at Swank Inc. as a Director of Manufacturing. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his wife Dimitra, he is survived by his sons Nikolaos and his wife Zoe and Chris and his wife Penny and by his daughter Athena Westlund and her husband Robert.
He is also survived by his nine grandchildren Dimitra, Stella, Athena Deanna, Sophia, Nikoletta, Georgios, Eva and Eliana as well as by his brother John Papadopoulos. He was predeceased by his sister Parthena and brothers Chris and Kostas.
Friends may call on Thursday, March 22, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 238 West Rocks Road, Norwalk, CT. The service will be held on Friday, March 23, at 10:00 AM in St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 238 West Rocks Road, Norwalk, CT. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Avenue, Norwalk, CT.
