He was a graduate of Chestertown H.S., entered the Navy at age 17, served in WW II and Korean War. He was honorably discharged and lived in FL. In 1972, he returned to Kent County, where he worked, raised his family and enjoyed carving decoys, hunting, fishing and all the beauty of the Eastern Shore.
Along with his parents, he was preceeded in death by his wife of 30 years, Mary Jones-Anthony; a son, Michael M. Anthony, and siblings James, Rumsey and Louis Anthony and Betty R. Russell, Kitty Clements and Bobbie Lange.
He is survived by a son Richard P. Anthony (Linda) and step-children Joe Jones and Linda Jones Chaffin, two nephes and sister Patricia Blake; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
