Margaret "Peggy" Elder passed away peacefully at home on July 25, 2011. Peggy is now at rest with the Lord.

She was born June 19, 1928 to John and Kathleen McClure. Peggy lived most of her life in Spokane. She married Curley De Von, later married Pat Kennedy, and after being widowed for some years, married Frank Elder. Frank and Peggy knew each other 77 years.

Peggy was preceded in death by her daughters Kathy and Kris, her parents, and a brother, Edward McClure. She is survived by husband, Frank Elder; son, Dana Devon and wife, Elyse; niece, Linda McClure; nephew, John McClure and wife, Patty; nephew, Ron and Shelby Nelson; sister-in-law, Shirley and Bill Griffin; and stepson, Kenneth A. Elder.

Peggy was a homemaker, but also worked at Deaconess Medical Center, Hollister-Stier, and Centennial Mills. Peggy will be missed for the big smile she had for everyone, her sense of humor, and her friendly, hearty voice.

Funeral services for Peggy are August 2, 2011, at 11 AM in the Sunset Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park with burial following the service. Arrangements entrusted to HAZEN & JAEGER FUNERAL HOME in Spokane.
