FEAR STROKE OF

FELL ON FLOOR NEAR STOVE
Aged Victim Paralyzed AH Over and
Hope Is Scant.
Stricken with apoplexy at 7:30 this
morning, Mrs. Mary Abbott, aged
about 56 years, now lies at her home,
112 Hanna street, in a serious condition
with little or no hopes entertained
by the attending physician for her
recovery.
The stroke came while she was sitting
in the kitchen of her home reading,
and when stricken she pitched off
the chair falling on the floor in front
of the stove. The sound of the falling
attracted the attention of her son,
Frank, who, on making an investigation,
found his mother lying unconscious
on the floor. He called assistance
and the stricken woman was
pied up and carried to a. bed, where
Dr. J. H. Barn field was summoned.
After an examination he found she
was paralyzed in nearly all parts of
her body and he fears her brain is also
affected.
