Uncle Oscar was born to James Burton and Nebraska Ann Neal Thomas in Sulphur Springs, Texas.

He was the brother of (including 3 sets of twins!) John Laban Thomas; Ida Cynthia Thomas; James Henry Thomas; twins Ancil Hendricks Thomas and Grover Cleveland Thomas (died at birth); Labin Gilbert Thomas and twin Rachel Bertha Thomas (died at birth); William Burton Thomas; David Hubert Thomas and twin sister Mary Odessa (Dessie) Thomas Stell.

Oscar married Nena Bellflower June 17, 1906 in Delta, Texas. She died in 1917.

Oscar then married Sarah (Sallie) Stell Wyrick in 1925, with whom a daughter, Geneva C. Thomas was born.

Grand-Uncle Oscar was the brother of my Grandfather Labin G. Thomas.

RITES SATURDAY FOR O. C. THOMAS
Boswell, April 16 -- Oscar Charles Thomas, 77, who lived in the Boswell and Hugo areas 58 years, died at his home at 602 South Sixth Street Wednesday night.

Graveside services, in charge of Coffey Funeral Home, will be at the Crowder Springs Cemetery Saturday at 2:30 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Ross Davis, pastor of the Assembly of God church in Hugo and Rev. R .E. Manning, pastor of the Crowder Springs Baptist church.

Mr. Thomas was born February 11, 1880, in Hopkins county, Tex. He was a farmer-stockman.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Sally Thomas, of the home address; and on daughter, Mrs. Geneva Shawhart, Herber, Calif. Four sisters and brothers and four step-children also survive, They are Mrs. Cynthia Maynard, Clarksville, Tex., Ancil Thomas, Broker Bow; Henry Thomas, Valliant; Hubert Thomas, Atoka; and Mrs. Dessie Stells, Willets, Calif. The step-children are Roy Wyrick and John Riley Wyrick, Hugo; Mrs. Ruth Land and William Wyrick, Oklahoma City.
