Loren K. (Curley) Clements, 75, died Wednesday in Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born in Jackson County, came to this area as a child with her parents, attended schools in Selma and spent most of his life in Muncie.
Mr. Clements was employed for more than 36 years with Warner-Gear Division (now Borg-Warner Automotive, Transmission Systems) before retiring in 1972.
He was a member of the Delaware County Hall of Fame, Muncie Bowling Hall of Fame, and a member and past president of the Muncie Bowling Association. Mr. Clements also was a member of Warner Gear Sympathy Club and Lakeview Country Club.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Catherine Maynard Clements; three children, Judy (Mrs. James) Clevenger, Yorktown, Randy Clements, Ridgeville, and Gary S. Clements, Muncie; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be in Meeks Mortuary at 10 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Calling at the mortuary is 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday or before services Saturday.
