Isaac Doty was born in Plymouth on October 25, 1678, he died there 15 Apr. 1725. Isaac was the son of John Edward Doten (Doty) and Elizabeth Cooke Doten (Doty). He was the grandson of Edward Doty who came on the Mayflower and signed The Mayflower Compact. He married Martha Faunce on March 17, 1702/03 at Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. Martha Faunce born there 16 Dec. 1680, dau. of Thomas and Jean (Nelson) Faunce. She died Plymouth 9 Sept. 1745.

Administration of the estate of Isaac
Doty, late of Plymouth, was granted to
widow Martha Doty of Plymouth on 30
Apr. 1724.
On 14 Apr. 1730 Mrs. Martha Doten of
Plymouth was named guardian of dau.
Rebekah, aged between 14 and 21; and
son Ichabod and dau. Mary, both under
14. On the same day Isaac Lothrop of
Plymouth was named guardian of Neriah
Doten, and Capt. Jno. Dyer of Plymouth
was named guardian of Jabez Doten, both
sons of Isaac Doten, late of Plymouth,
and both between the ages of 14 and 21.
Division of the estate was made 15 Mar.
1735/6 among widow Martha Doten and
children Isaac Doten, eldest son;
Elizabeth Studley, wife of John Studley
of Hanover, Jane Palmer, wife of John
Palmer, Jr., of Scituate; Rebekah Doten
of Plymouth; Neriah Doten, Jabez Doten,
Ichabod Doten, and Mary Doten.
On 19 Aug. 1749 Isaac Doten of Plymouth,
mariner; Jabez Doten of the City of
New York, joiner; John Palmer, Jr. of
Scituate and Jane his wife; John Studley
of Hanover and Elizabeth his wife; and
Rebecca Warren of Plymouth, widow,
conveyed their five sixths interest in
premises at Plymouth to Lemuel Bartlett,
adjacent land being owned by Mary, wife
of said Lemuel Bartlett.
