Mr. Morton was a World War II Army veteran and had worked at the Pierson Lumber Yard , Marston Brothers and the Boothbay Cold Storage Co.
He is survived by a son, Dana of Fort Meyers, Fla.:and seven brothers, Ernest, Milan and Ralph, all of Boothbay, John of Otisfield, Harry of Yarmouth, Norman of Damariscotta and Lawrence of North Carolina.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, Augusta, with interment in the Veterans Cemetery.
