Over the next 19 years, Louise worked for the National Red Cross, the Social Service Exchange, the University of Illinois and the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad.
Her funeral was held at St. Patrick's Church in Galesburg. She was survived by her three sons, her sister Verena and brother Edwin
