James Irvin Devine, 70, of Pekin, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at his home surrounded by family. He was born on September 27, 1949 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Samuel and Irene (Johnson) Devine.
He retired from Summit Trucking. James was a family man and always enjoyed spending time with those he loved.
James was also preceded in death by his son, Samuel A. Devine; and siblings, Linda Gamble and Samuel Devine.
James is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dolores (Simon) Devine; sons, James L. Devine (Randa), Robert Devine, Thomas Devine (Danyelle); siblings, Susan Davis (Perry), Sherry Gardner (Dale), Joey Grizzell (Sherrie); seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen following James' wishes and Newcomer Funerals, Cremations & Receptions was entrusted with his care.
