Chris B. Evans Sr., 57, of Cambridge, died Sunday (March 1, 2020) at Southeastern Med.

He was born September 14, 1962 in Cambridge, son of the late William L. Evans Sr. and Goldie L. (Anderson) Evans.

Mr. Evans had worked for Cambridge Behavioral Hospital in the transportation and maintenance departments for many years.

He was a graduate of Cambridge High School.

Mr. Evans was a member, past president, and current chaplain of Cambridge Eagles Aerie 386. He was also a member of the VFW Post 2901.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry “Sandy” Evans and William Evans Jr.

He is survived by a son, Chris Evans Jr. of Zanesville; two daughters, Cindy Evans of Cambridge and Sheena Clipner of Summerville SC; a sister, Carolyn Lantz of Cambridge; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Evans and Rae Ellen Evans; and his former in-laws, George and Elizabeth Montgomery.
