Born in the very small West Texas town of Guion, now gone forever. She was the second of seven children of Will and Myrtle Crow. At 21 she married and moved to California, and profitably operated a number of apparel stores for 30 years. Widowed three times and the mother of four children. She left 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, having lived a very long and interesting life.
