Helen grew up in a large family spending time split between their home in Bernalillo and their ranch in San Luis, New Mexico. After the untimely death of her husband, Merle Miller in 1966, Helen raised their two children by herself and continually showed what a giving, self-less, and humble woman she was. She always went out of her way to help others whenever possible, often working tirelessly behind the scenes without wanting acknowledgement.
Helen held many different jobs throughout the years, but most enjoyed her time working for, and then volunteering her time with her church family. She made many close, lifelong friends there over the years.
Helen loved her family and was happiest when spending time with them, especially her great-grandsons, "her bambinos," and wanted nothing more than to have all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in one place with her.
Helen was preceded in death by her: husband, Merle W. Miller, and parents, Trancito & Perfetita Mirabal, along with many brothers and sisters.
Helen is survived by: her daughter, Wilma Saran and her husband Skip; her son, Joseph Miller; her grandchildren, Tawnia Fernandez and her husband Michael, Adam Saran and his wife Nichole, Victoria Miller; her great grandsons, Malachi & Micah Fernandez, and Max & Dodger Saran; her sister & God daughter, Angelina Schwerkoske; her sisters, Patti Espinosa, Tillie (Rudy) Tenorio, Jeanette (Jimmy) Lopez; brother, Rey Mirabal; and many nephews & nieces.
