Mr. Winfrey was a native of Ft. Payne, Alabama, and had settled in Milledgeville in 2006. He was the son of the late Eugene and Inez Monroe Winfrey.
Mr. Winfrey was a Veteran of the United States Army and had proudly served his country in the 25th Infantry Unit in Vietnam. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Affectionately known as "Pa", he enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and playing video games.
He is survived by his wife, Sandie Winfrey of Milledgeville; three daughters, Shannon Paschal of Dallas, Shana Norrell of Dahlonaga, and Amanda Damron of Snellville; five grandchildren, Nelson Paschal, Hannah Paschal, Cooper Damron, Kinsley Norrell, and Addison Norrell; three sisters, Billie Redgate, Sandra Swain, and Annette Holland; and a brother, Leroy Winfrey.
Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, January 15, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel. Military honors will be provided by the Haralson County Veterans Association.
