She was a retired postmaster at Trimble Post Office. She ran Hart's General Store until her retirement in 1979. She was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church.
She was survived by her son, Darrell (and Karen) Hart, Somerset, Kentucky; her daughter-in-law, Earlene Hart of Nancy, Kentucky; her brother, Gordon E. Burton of Dayton, Ohio; her sister, Bernice Beck of Tampa, Florida; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a special extended family grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ethus Butron and Mary (Trimble) Burton; her husband, Everett True "E.T." Hart (married in September 1942 in Science Hill, Kentucky); and her son, Darwin Hart.
Graveside services were held on Wednesday, November 21, 2001 at Lakeside Memorial Gardens with Brother Mitch Bradshaw officiating.
