On the 1860 Flint Ridge, Lancaster Co. census, James
was listed as a shoe maker. They lived in dwelling 609, next door to William Jackson, Annie's brother, with $446. real estate value and $200. personal value. Then again 10 Apr 1867, James was loaned $10.00, to be paid back in six months, as lien on his crops, by William Jackson. In 1870, James and Annie were living in the Pleasant Hill twp. of Lancaster. On the Jun 1880 census, James was listed as having heart disease. Nothing more was found on James after Jun 1880. They obviously never had any children, as none appeared on the census records. Annie was listed as a member of Fork Hill Baptist Church, as were other members of the family, so one can assume they are buried there.
