Patsy Carol Barron, age 71, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 5, 2020. She was born on October 10, 1948 in Farmerville, to Elbert and Dorothy Odom. She graduated Farmerville High School.
Patsy married Richard Barron on March 8, 1969, in Farmerville. She spent 20 years touring with her husband in the Air Force and became a Registered Nurse. She worked as a RN throughout his career and retired as a nurse in 2003 when they moved to Haughton, LA. Pat truly loved life to the fullest through simple pleasures; visiting with friends and family, being a member of the Party Cats, a member of and supporting Eastwood Baptist Church. Pat had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep positive way.
She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Richard; two sisters, Jody Herren (Lynn) and Karen Odom Duty; two children, Amy (Mel) and Brandon; two grandchildren, Bryan (Amber) and Marlowe; and two great-grandchildren, Audrey and Adeline.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Pat touched are invited to attend a memorial service that will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2020 at Eastwood Baptist Church in Haughton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Eastwood Baptist Church: Now is the Time fund, 2810 Hwy 80, Haughton, LA 71037.
