Hollie Edward Bell, 94, of Longview, TX passed away September 26, 2015 at his residence in Longview. He was born December 8, 1920 in Elysian Fields, TX to Sam Houston Bell and Emma Mae Ybarbo Bell. He served his country in the United States Army during WWII before being discharged on Christmas Eve 1946 after seven years of service. He married Mary Elizabeth Bonner May 26, 1946 at First Baptist Church in Longview. She preceded him in death February 27, 2001. He loved working with wood, building cabinets and furniture and watching the Texas Rangers and University of Texas Longhorns.

He is survived by his daughter: Sylvia Chambers of Longview; granddaughters: Alexandra Myers and her husband Byron of Virginia, Victoria Wilks and her husband Jon of the Middle East, Kathryn Stevens and her husband Charlie of Katy, TX and Genevieve Chambers of Katy; 8 great grandchildren; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and nine siblings.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Memory Park Cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Funeral Home.
