Bertha T. Alexander, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died September 25, 2006, in Ohio. Born February 25, 1923, to Joe and Nannie (Evans) Pulliam in Leasburg, NC, where she graduated the public schools and attended the Winston State Teachers College. Married to Walter Alexander, who predeceased her in 1992. An active member of the Shiloh Baptist Church, the Senior Ushers, and Flower Guild. Past Worthy Matron Maybelle Chapter No. 18 O.E.S. Surviving are a brother, Joe Pulliam along with nieces, nephews and others. Predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Visiting Monday, Shiloh Baptist Church, 185 Lincoln Avenue, New Rochelle, 11 AM to 12 noon. Funeral 12 noon at the church. Interment, Beechwoods Cemetery. Arrangements by Barney T.
