Morgan G. Stephens, born 1843 [sic], died 1917, married February 11, 1864, to Malinda J. Hale. They were the parents of ten children: Mary Ann, married Palmer Scutchfield, March 23, 1881, and both died at Jeffersonville, Kentucky, but were buried near Watergap, Floyd County; Darcus F. married Jeff Bingham, March 20, 1882; Kate married Ayris Spradlin, September 28, 1890; Claybourne married Hester Cooley, June 24, 1894; Camillus, never married; James P. married Lydia J. Cooley, May 18, 1902; Samuel married Mary Gormley; Florence married Columbus Crisp; October 9, 1900; John married Nola Baldridge; Cynthia married Jesse Hatfield, July 22, 1923 and upon his death married Dan Prater, of Brush Creek.
