Bertha M. Kimble, 87, of Mitchell, died Saturday at Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born Oct. 5, 1908, she was the daughter of Harry A. and Lena (Braden) Mann. She was a retired employee of Fines Mfg. Co. in Bedford and a member of the first Presbyterian Church.
survivors include two sons, Jerry Allen and Jon Allen, both of Mitchell; four daughters, Peggy Earl of Mitchell, Patricia Leonard and Jan Deckard, both of Venice, FL and Portia Chapman of Bedford; one stepdaughter, Nancy Stroud of Williams; two sisters, Barbara Burgess of Mitchell and Maxine Hamby of Salt Lake City, Utah; four brothers, Hamer Mann of Tennessee, Frank Mann of Orleans, jack Mann of Oklahoma and Leonard Mann of Provo, Utah; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Winford "Speck" Allen; her second husband, henry Kimble; one daughter; one stepdaughter; four brothers and one sister.
Services will be Tuesday at Haverly Mortuary in Mitchell. Burial will be at Liberty Christian Cemetery in Orange County.
