Mr. Campbell died at 3:13 a.m. Monday at Daystar Care Center in Cairo, Ill.
A U.S. Army veteran, he was a member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 111 in Bardwell. He worked as a salesman for Rudy's Farm Center and served as Ballard County District 5 magistrate for several years. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church, where he served as songleader.
Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Jean Walters Campbell; one son, James Campbell of Farmington; two daughters, Lisa Turner and Leah Rundles, both of Wickliffe; two sisters, Brownie Hinkle and Thelma Adams, both of Wickliffe; two stepsons, Tommy Dalton and Stephen Paul Dalton, both of Barlow; one stepdaughter, Kathy Dennis of Wickliffe; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
His parents were James Eley Campbell and Elizabeth "Lizzy" Lunsford Campbell.
