Miss Alice Marion Munroe

Sussex, Sept. 15 - (Special) - Friends of Miss Alice Marion Munroe, R.N., were shocked by her death today in Saint John. Miss Munroe had been a resident of Sussex for the last four years although most of her time was spent in Saint John.
She was 23 years of age and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Munroe, St. George Street, Sussex, and was born at Lower Millstream. In 1933 she entered Saint John General Hospital as a nurse-in-training, graduating last February, since which time she had done private nursing in that hospital. She was operated on for sinus trouble three weeks ago and five days later developed pneumonia, which caused her death this morning.
She leaves to mourn her parents, three brothers, Murray, Waterton, Mass.; Beverly, Lower Cove, Kings County, and Harold, at home, and nine sisters, Mrs. George Glover, Peterborough, Eng.; Mrs. John Carr, Penobsquis; Mrs. J.C. Whittier, Somerville, Mass.; Mrs. O.L. Perkins, Lower Cove; Miss Bessie, Wellsley, Mass.; Miss Fannie, R.N., Saint John; Mrs. Purdy Parlee, Waltham, Mass.; Mrs. Wesley Parlee, Providence, R.I. and Miss Edith, at home.
The funeral wil be held on Thursday at 2:30 p.m., Atlantic Standard time, from the home of her parents. Rev. Dr. N.A. MacNeill will officiate.
