She is survived by her two sons, Brian G. Janis and Brett S. Janis, and their wives, Maria Linda Gonzalez and Gabriela Janis. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Erika, Nathan, Nicholas and Jordan Janis.
She was a lovely person and volunteered her time at the Brownsville Public Library as a member of the Friends of the Library organization.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. today, Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at the Hebrew Cemetery, located at E. 2nd Street and E. Madison Street (next to the Old City Cemetery) in Brownsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sunshine Haven Hospice Home at P.O. Box 4478, Brownsville, TX 78523.
