Before retirement, she was employed as a scale operator at the Town of Merrimack Solid Waste Facility, and also served as the secretary for the N.H. When not cheering on one of her grandchildren, she could be found cheering for her local Boston sports teams, especially the Red Sox, with whom she had a life-long love affair. She is the widow of the former Merrimack Fire Chief, George J. Allgaier, who died in 1978.

She is survived by two brothers, Richard Darragh of Indianapolis, Ind., and Thomas Darragh of Peabody, Mass. She was predeceased by her sister, Catherine Darragh, and her brother, Philip Darragh.
