Gola is survived by her husband of 34 years and 6 months and 5 days to James Steven Barrow; 2 sons, Eddie Erickson and wife Donia, Robert Erickson and wife Cherie; 2 step-sons, Patrick Barrow and wife Emily and Lee Barrow; 8 grandchildren, Ryan, Blake, and Kyle Erickson, Amanda Burr, Christina Thomas and Robert Erickson, Haley and Amanda Barrow; 3 great-grandchildren, Vanessa Thomas, Kiley Siemek and Addison Erickson.
Gola is preceded in death by her father, Harold Pylate and mother Aline Wilkerson, brother, Harold Pylate and sister, Martha Pylate.
Gola is a graduated from Robert E. Lee High School, went on to a business college, and worked for George H. W. Bush, a receptionist at an investment firm, half owner of a donut and bakery shop and for MW Kellogg Construction and Engineering. After taking a medical retirement, she loved to cook, sew and decorate her home. She also loved the Liberty Opry and camping in the RV. Gola attended the First Baptist Church in Mont Belvieu, Texas She loved the Lord and enjoyed working with people. Gola will be missed but not forgotten.
