Barbara L. Boeldt, age 82, a Manitowoc, Wisconsin resident, passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018.

Born on January 23, 1936 in Sheboygan, she was the daughter of the late Gladys (Beson) LaFleur. She graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School in 1954. Barbara married James Boeldt on Jan. 30, 1959 at Holy Innocents Catholic Church in Manitowoc.

Barbara worked at the North End Drug Store for many years with her good friend Jill Cigler. She was an accomplished Bridge player and enjoyed playing games in general. She was also an unlikely but avid basketball, football and tennis fan. She loved her family and was blessed with many loving friends. Armed with a great sense of humor and creative spirit she especially loved the sounds of singing and laughter, especially from children.

Barbara is survived by two children, Sharon Boeldt (Milwaukee) and Mike Boeldt (San Diego), sister, Lois Propst (Missouri); brother-in-law, Deacon Alan Boeldt; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Patricia and Ralph Elliot. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Glady; husband, Jim; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Lois LaFleur; sister-in-law, Kay Boeldt and brother-in-law, Bill Propst. The family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00 am until 11:15 am on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2018 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo with funeral services following at 11:30 am. Barbara's cremated remains will be entombed at Knollwood Mausoleum, Town of Kossuth at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Barbara was well loved by her family and many good friends. She will be missed tremendously. We celebrate her life and wish her peace. The Pfeffer Funeral Home and All Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc are assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
