Joan Wendt, 88, of Valders, died on April 15, 2018 at Tender Reflections of Manitowoc. Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center in Manitowoc and the funeral will be at noon on Friday at Faith Lutheran Church in Valders. Officiating will be the Rev. Ted Johnson. The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday at the church from 10 am until 1:45 pm.
Joan was born on Aug. 3, 1929 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late August and Louise Jasniak. On Aug. 21, 1948 she married Raymond Wendt in Waukegan, Ill. He preceded her in death on August 14, 2009. Joan was a school bus driver in Valders for many years. She loved spending time at the cabin and going to the trailer in Texas. Joan also loved working side by side with her husband and fishing with him.
Survivors include her children, Pat and her significant other, Tony of Valders; William and Kathy Wendt of Oklahoma, Sandra Cook of Missouri and Charles and Lynn Wendt of Michigan. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren also with other relatives and friends also survive.
The Christiansen & Deja Funeral Home of Valders is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
