He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his daughter, Mackenzie Cureton; sons, Nicholas and Tyler Cureton; grandchild, Dean Cureton; sister, Brenda Haynes; and several nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held at a later date in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
