Virginia "Ginger" Dare Koch, 80, Cape Coral, Florida died on Friday, June 22, 2007 at SW Regional Medical Center, Fort Myers. She was born and raised in West Virginia to the late Kenneth G. Koch and Juanita B. Koch in 1927. Graduated from the University of Charleston : "Cum Laude". She was employed by Union Carbide Corp. for 33 years. Active in the Democratic Party she served as Legislative aid to Delegate Knight in the House and Aide to Senator Schenaco on in 1985. Moved to Fort Myers in 1985 and became active in the Democratic Women's Club. Served as State Committeewoman and held various positions within the Democratic Party Organization. She enjoyed playing bridge with friends each week and an active game of golf with her golfing friends at Palmetto Pines. She was very active in assistance to our senior citizens. Appointed by the Governor to Senior Solutions, now known as the Area Agency on Aging, an organization dedicated to assisting our senior citizens. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Cape Coral, FL.; Eastern Star, Chapter, 309; White Shrine of Jerusalem; Fort Myers Women's Community Club; Legislative Committee-Area Agency on Aging; Ex Execs of Cape Coral; Executive Women's Golf Club; Member of Palmetto Pine Country Club, Cape Coral; Democratic Women's Club of Lee Country; Democratic Executive Committee for Lee County. A member of several Fraternal Orders; Cape Coral Elks Lodge #2596; Eagles, Moose and the VFW Auxiliary. Ginger was a wonderful and vivacious lady who was beautiful inside and out. She was loved by all and will be missed by all and never forgotten.
