Mary Ann Kaye, 92, Green Bay died on Friday, Sept. 2, 2005, at a local nursing home. She was born on Feb. 2, 1913, in Wausaukee, Wis., to the late Charles and Barbara (Kafka) Engleman. She married Kenneth I. Kaye in Green Bay on Nov. 19, 1941. Mary worked at local department stores and then at the A.C. Nielsen Company for more than 20 years until her retirement. She patiently trained many new employees through the years. In addition to her full time job, Mary was a devoted mother and tireless homemaker specializing in preserving and preparing the fruits and vegetables from Mr. Kaye's garden. Another gift Mary had was making creative cakes and Bohemian baked goods. These creative specialties became an unforgettable joy and memory to her family and her grandchildren as well.
Survivors include her husband Kenneth of Green Bay; two daughters and one son, all of Green Bay. She is further survived by 13 grandchildren. Mary Ann is further survived by dear relatives, Emily, Frances and Carol, nieces, nephews and other dear friends.
Gathering time with family and friends will be on Monday, Sept. 5, 2005, at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral Parish, from 1 pm until the Mass of Christian Burial at 3 pm, with Msgn. Roy Klister officiating. Entombment at Allouez Mausoleum.
